It all started about 10 years ago in the back yards of two buddies trying to out do each other with there BBQ wizardry. The battles where legendary and since I’m the one writing this I won most of them. We talked about entering a comp but thought that we could not compete with the big boy’s but in September of 2004 we jumped in with both feet and entered the Last Fling’Til Spring BBQ Comp in West Point Nebraska. We got one call in Pork Butt and we were hooked from then on. We do on average five competitions a year in the Midwest and look forward to doing more as the kids get older. We mainly compete in Kansas City Barbeque Society {KCBS} Sanctioned events. Since we started competing in BBQ comps we have slowly worked are way in to Catering. It started out cooking for family and friends and now we do Weddings, Graduations, Family reunions and Banquets. If you are looking for true BBQ then check out our catering menu and give us a call.

Meet the Team

My name is Scott Burke the head cook, I’m married and have two kids and live in Valley Nebraska. I’m a Construction Superintendent in the Omaha area, my wife Jackie works in the banking industry. I have a daughter Brandi and a son Austin.

John Garreans is married and has two kids. They live in Crescent Iowa. John is a union Electrician in the Omaha area, his wife Patty works for a Mortuary. They have a daughter Abby and son Trenton.

Matt Woerner is married and has two kids. They live outside of Valley Nebraska. Matt is a Plumber in the Metro area, his wife Laura works as a receptionist in Omaha. They have a son Jake and daughter Cassidy
